If the burrata tomato and gnocchi dish was sweet, then this is its savory counterpart in my cooking arsenal. This dish is slightly more complicated than the first gnocchi recipe I shared with almost double the ingredients, but it still takes under an hour to cook.
This was actually the first gnocchi recipe that I ever made and I quickly became obsessed. It was one of my safe meals during the cold winter, so much so that I ate it almost every night to the point where the taste reminds me of the show I was watching at the time (if you have Netflix watch Disenchantment).
Part of the reason I started trying out gnocchi was because I started shopping at Trader Joes to help control my grocery budget and I saw that the price of gnocchi there was less than half the price at Food Lion, a grocery store that I thought was cheap. So I thought it was worth a try and it’s damn good.
I bet this sauce would go well with pasta as well, but the texture of the gnocchi pairs so well with the beans. Im not sure which is better for you, gnocchi or pasta, but I don’t think it really matters because the sauce and other components is rich with nutrients, protein and fiber. I try to tell myself this when I’m eating it every night of the week.
